    What This Tool Checks

12 checks across two Screaming Frog export formats, covering every internal linking issue that costs you rankings.

    Broken Links

Every 4xx and 5xx internal link with source, destination, and anchor text.

    Redirect Chains

Internal links hitting 301/302 redirects that dilute PageRank and slow crawling.

    Orphan Pages

Indexable pages with zero internal links pointing to them. Invisible to crawlers.

    Wasted Equity

Internal links to non-indexable URLs, broken down by reason (canonicalized, noindex, redirected).

    Crawl Depth

Pages buried 4+ clicks from the homepage. Depth distribution chart included.

    Self-Referencing Links

Pages linking to themselves, wasting crawl budget and link equity on circular references.

    Ambiguous Anchors

Same anchor text pointing to different URLs, confusing search engines about which page to rank.

    Link Position Analysis

Breakdown of links by placement: navigation, content body, footer, sidebar. Content links carry more weight.

    How It Works

Three Steps to a Clean Link Architecture

    1

    Export from Screaming Frog

Run a crawl, then use Bulk Export → Links → All Inlinks for per-link detail, or export the Internal → HTML tab for per-page aggregates. Both formats are supported.

    2

    Upload the CSV

Drop the file onto the upload area. The tool auto-detects which export format you used and runs the matching set of checks. Large files (100k+ rows) are handled in-browser without any upload.

    3

    Fix by Priority

Get a health score, severity-labeled findings, visual charts, and actionable recommendations. Download any individual finding or the full report as a CSV to share with your team.

    Why It Matters

Internal Links Are Your Site's Circulatory System

Internal links do three things that directly affect rankings: they distribute PageRank to your most important pages, they help Googlebot discover and crawl new content faster, and they send contextual signals about what each page is about through anchor text.

A broken internal link is a severed artery. An orphan page is a page Google may never find. A redirect chain is a leaky pipe that loses equity at every hop. This tool finds all of it in seconds.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

What Screaming Frog exports does this tool support?
Two formats. The All Inlinks edge-list export (Bulk Export → Links → All Inlinks) gives per-link detail and enables checks like broken links, redirects, empty anchors, and ambiguous anchor text. The Internal HTML aggregate export (Internal → HTML tab) gives per-page metrics and enables checks like orphan pages, wasted equity, crawl depth, and link score analysis.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. The entire analysis runs in your browser using JavaScript and the PapaParse CSV library. Your CSV never leaves your machine. No cookies, no tracking, no server-side processing.
How is the health score calculated?
The score starts at 100 and deducts points based on the proportion and severity of issues found. Broken links and orphan pages are weighted most heavily. Redirect chains, wasted equity, empty anchors, and deep pages carry moderate weight. The score reflects the overall health of your internal linking structure, not just the raw count of issues.
What is the difference between edge mode and aggregate mode?
Edge mode analyses individual link relationships (source → destination) and is best for finding broken links, redirect chains, nofollow internal links, empty anchors, and anchor text conflicts. Aggregate mode analyses per-page statistics and is best for finding orphan pages, under-linked content, crawl depth problems, and wasted link equity. For a complete audit, run both exports.
How large a CSV can this tool handle?
It depends on your device's memory, but most modern browsers handle 500k+ rows without issues. The tool uses streaming CSV parsing to minimise memory usage. For very large crawls (1M+ links), the All Inlinks export works better than the aggregate export since edge-list data compresses well in memory.
Can I export the audit findings?
Yes. Each individual finding has a Download CSV button that exports just that issue type. There is also a Download Full Report button at the bottom that exports every finding into a single CSV file with issue-type labels, making it easy to hand off to your dev team or import into a project tracker.
