What is FAQPage schema?

Answer

FAQPage is a Schema.org type used to mark up frequently-asked-question content on a page. Each Question child contains Question.name (the question text) and acceptedAnswer.text (the canonical answer). FAQPage schema is one of the strongest signals for AI citation because the structure matches exactly how answer engines extract Q&A pairs.

Why it matters

AI answer engines pattern-match user queries to Question entries on indexed sites. When the match is strong, the AI cites the page and often reproduces the acceptedAnswer text verbatim. FAQPage is the single most underrated AEO asset for sites with question-format content.

How to ship it

Add a script tag with FAQPage JSON-LD to any page with FAQ-style content. Each entity needs Question.name and acceptedAnswer.text. Validate with Google's Rich Results Test.

Where to use it

Every page with question-format content (this page included). Service pages. Pricing pages. Glossary entries. Comparison pages. Spacemen Digital adds FAQPage schema to client pages as a standard AEO deliverable.
